Hello
I have updated my drivers just yesterday (3/13). I then connected DP to HDMI adapter, the software recognized the external TV. Yay !!
I changed to the option to Clone = Built-in Display + External monitor and tried different resolutions. TV's resolution is 1920x1080 however this resolution was NOT available, hence I created this manually (overwrote the existing one - I could not see the existing but it asked anyway).
I then tried option Clone = External monitor + Built-in Display and tried many different resolutions.
I could not get picture to external TV.
I have windows XP Pro 32 bit.
Please help.
Thanks

1960 x 1080.
Tried different refresh rates as well.
Is it possible that Amazon bought Displayport cannot handle this?
Should I try the certified compatible ones mentioned in this knowledgebase?

Samsung TV is 1920x1080. I don't see a resolution 1920x1080 in the control panel. However, I see External display named "Digital Display Samsung".
I tried all resolutions in control panel but TV does not receive the signal. I then added custom resolution 1920x080 for Digital Display Samsung but not sure how to choose this resolution for Samsung TV. It just sits there. I use Clone Displays.
The max resolution possible on my screen is 1440 x 900.
Lenovo, please help. This is a new laptop, should I return it?

Thanks to everybody who posted. I bought the DP -> HDMI adapter listed in lenovo.com website. Now it works fine including audio.
