Ericsson F3507g keeps disconnecting

Well i tried, i have firmware R1B/1, hardwrae version KRD 131 14/202 R1J. it starsts correctly, green progress bar comes correctly and after cca half minute it display confirmation dialog, that update is done successfully. Anyway if i take a look into Access Connection or start this update tool again, it still tells me that i have old R1B/1 firmware, instead of new one. How did you make the update? Thanks.

Did you somebody flashed your WWAN card with this package with success (not only progress in green but really flashed firmware)?

Same with me - I tried it, it reported success, but firmware stays the old one.

I must say that i am the owner of a Dell not IBM , the card it's bought from ebay and it's KM266 model, the driver used and the application are form dell, a little bit modded for gps, and it worked as i said , end as you can see form my log, because that's the log of my upgrade. P.S. Close all aplications accessing the modem from tray also.

i have the same problems with disconnects every 5-10 minutes (T400s: Win7 64bit). So i had called the Support and it send a new modem to me. Unfortunately it had the same old Firmware R1B1 and so no change had happend to me. The worst thing is, that i am not able to reconnect, because i get a BSOD.

So i thought my installation was damaged. I installed a clean Win7 64 and only installed the driver for the module and AC --> Same problem (BS with "wwanusbmp64.sys). After that i try the 32 bit version with same result (BS: "wwanusbmp.sys"). The last try was with the original recovery discs (Vista business) --> the only improvement is that i dont get a BSOD, but also no connection.

The next step of the support will be a change of the motherboard i think. But will this change does some improvements to me?

It means, our waiting for new firmware is one big wasting of time. I really do not understand the philosophy of Lenovo and this official Lenovo forum. Is there really somebody from Lenovo, taking care of cases here and trying to share serious info? The last R1D1 firmware card is available by Lenovo for quite long time and firmware update is not possible, so replacing card is only solution. If it is true, really "thanks" to Lenovo for serous take care of us. I think, may be next time, low end Acer or Asus will be solution, then i give for small money low end service, here with Lenovo, for high price i see no reall difference.

Just a reminder that Lenovo established this community for user-to-user support, and it is moderated by volunteers like me. Although there is some Lenovo presence, they can't read and respond to every post. They do try to help with some of the broader issues.

At least we know the newest firmware fixes a lot of issues.

Good to know, now only if Lenovo pulled its finger out and released a firmware update utility for the WWAN card, they've done it now for HDDs, Batteries and CD/DVD Drives - can't be too hard to release one for the WWAN card considering other manufacturers have.

An idea would be to find the Lenovo staff on the forum and link them to this post which has been ongoing for quite some time now, maybe might get something done

I repeat my earlier post......I have both earlier and later firmware cards from Lenovo and I get the same (satisfactory) 3G behaviour with both of them.

Since no one seems to have been able to find out what "issues" were addressed by Ericcson in the later release, it nothing but naive to think that any of the problems described by various 3G users here are simply attributable to the firmware on the card, especially given the very wide range of circumstancesand locations under which WWAN cards are used.

Well, honestly, this is not the case of discussion. Case of discussion is, why Toshiba, Dell are able to be flexible with firmware update, simply no problems, firmware can anybody update by yourself, doesn't matter, what probl;ems it solve. With Lenovo, you have simply no chance to do anything with it. And for more, non stable connection and interruptions is very difficult to claim. And thats the case. We can just sit and look on our nice 3G piece of non reliable component in lamost 2000 EUR product. Thats the case. I do not have the feeling of 2000 EUR product and service. Thats the case.
