HDMI output T-500

Hello,

I got Lenovo T500 as the christmas present, and now I am trying to connect it to TV using a HDMI output, but there is no one. Despite assurance from Lenovo sales guy that it comes with it.

Can somebody tell me what is best way to connect it to HD tv and to get HD picture.

Also on the side next to USB ports there is a single single port that has symbol similar to capital D, anybody knows what is that for?

The porti is a DisplayPort., not the same as an HDMI port.  There is no HDMI port on the T500.  You need a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.  Look on EBAY for one or I think you may bea ble to get one from Lenovo.  The port will give you video but no audio.

Ok, I bought adapter and hoked up my laptop to Samsung LED TV via HDMI but I cant get anything on TV, also as soon as I plug in Display port my resolution on laptop changes to lowest possible and I cant adjust it until it is unpluged from dispay port.

Anybody knows what can be a problem?

digital audio requires an advanced Mini Dock, which has a SPDIF port. Other options include a USB audio adapter.  Stinkpads really aren't set up for high-end audio.
