Headset with a combo connector [ Edited ]

Hi all!

For a while I cannot find a headset for T410.

The headset should have a combo connector and this is the problem.

All headsets in my city have 2 separate connectors, and none has a combo connector.

I don't like headsets from apple-phone or from express-music, they are so fragile.

Could someone advice any model of any brand that has a combo connector suitable for T410?

This problem started with T400s ......... and seems like it is still there. Why doesn't lenovo come up with a compatible headset or an adapter may be?!

Not only do they not sell an adapter, they sell incompatible hardware! I bought a Thinkvision Soundbar (I think that is the right name) with my new T510 and the two cannot be connected!

The only solution I have found so far (in Australia) is to buy a 3.5mm 4 connector plug, a 3.5mm stereo socket, a 3.5mm mono socket then guess at how to join them up. I haven't done this yet as there are no electronics parts stores in any of my nearby towns.

spearoid bought and tested the Headset Buddy PC computer headset to 3.5mm adapter mentioned above with his ThinkPad combo port, and it works:

Quite probably because there are huge numbers of suitable adapters and suitable headsets in the market already!
