Help me choose between T410 and T410s

Hi,

I want to choose between T410 and T410s.

I have to do it fast... help me please.

The + and - :

T410 is equipped with more connection ports, 4 USBs, ... T410s has only 2 USBs as far I know.

T410 comes with i7, T410s comes with i5 processor

T410 is more robust than T410s (now I have an X61T)

T410 comes with 500Gb HDD, T410s comes with an SSD plus xxxGb in ultrabay (if possible)

T410 can be installed with additional batteries and 9 cells battery, T410s comes with 6 cells battery, without extra

T410 adn T410s is almost the same size, screen, keyboard, no difference.

I prefer W7 64bit with 8Gb RAM.

What I do with it: mostly I use at home, before the TV browsing the internet, doing all necessary correspondence, music, video, file organisation, charging my phones :smileyhappy:.

I prefer performance and future use rather than small form. The T410 seems to be a winner, but the T410s with SSD seems to be much faster... actually I have 100gb HDD, which is not enough. I need more. On the other hand, not much more... 500 is far so much (I have a NAS).

Which to choose? It is more a long term technical decision than a price issue. Your oppinion? Thanks in advance!

Re: Help me choose between T410 and T410s

T410s have 3 USB ports.

T410 have i7 dual core, which is essentially the same as the i5 dual core.

T410 uses the 2.5 inch hdd, while the T410s uses the 1.8 inch hdd.

T410s can be optioned with 6 cells main battery and 3 cells ultrabay battery.

T410s can be optioned with touchscreen.
--------------------

If you use it at home, then you probably just need a T410, the T410s is really for people whom travels a lot and needs a bigger size LCD than the X201 offers.

Portability is the main design goal of the T410s, while the T410 is your bread and butter T series thinkpad at the right price point for many Thinkpad users.

Re: Help me choose between T410 and T410s

if you don't travel a lot the T410 may present itself as a more economical and robust product for your own private use.

Also note, if you get the Optimus Nvidia version of the T410/s you can connect up to 3 external LCD with the Dock 3 plus (in addition to the internal LCD, so 4 LCD all up).
