The turbo memory is in fact removable, I am not sure if they consider it to be user installable however. There are several configuration exceptions which will disallow turbo memory (I believe wwan is one). I would contact whomever you configured the system with. I am assuming that you have all the paperwork which came with the machine which has all the part numbers for the various components which are used in the build,

To be honest... it's not worth it at all.
I had 2GB of Turbo Memory installed in my system on arrival... I found out that having it installed actually causes the boot-up-process to take significantly longer, because the system stay on the screen between POST and the bootloade for ~20 secs.
Uninstalling the turbo memory solved that problem. I don't see any difference in performance... it doesn't do any real difference...
I'd recommend to just ignore the not installed turbo memory and forget the trouble you'd have sending your TP back and so on...!

Ow that would be a great favor though I don't really think its worth it, but ill appreciate it sys3175. I do have all the paper work, but my paperwork's information is not exactly the same as my laptop, because i think my laptop is a customized one and the options on paper that is sticking to the box are standard options. For e.g. my laptop has 8GB ram but on the paper it is 2GB. Only major components are written down on the paper i have like the processor 3.06 is really 3.06 on my laptop. As far as i know the dealer has the paper that specifies exactly what i have, and he is the one confirming that i do have the intel turbo memory, it maybe be possible that lenovo forgot to install it too.

The guy is really helpful when i spoke to him, and till now everything i ordered is installed in my laptop except the 2GB intel turbo memory. I dont really think it is a big deal as Sayuuk is mentioning and not worth sending my laptop. But sys3175 if you want to talk to the dealer ill appreciate it and if you dont it is really not a big deal so eather ways im appreaciating the replys and the helpful members. Thank you.

Yes Sayuuk im really thinking its not worth it when you mentioned the boot up process taking alot longer, and im a guy who is running after performance and faster boot ups and loading time, even to the extent that i entered conrol panel >System and Security>System>Advanced System Settings>Performance Settings>Adjust for best performance.
The GUI (Graphical User Interface) changes to best for performance and the the theme goes back to windows 98.
So i guess ill just ignore the problem, but if any one has any ideas please share so other people with the same problem can resolve it.

I have 2gb turbo memory with Vista and a hitachi 7200rpm drive and have the fastest booting laptop which i have ever owned. The biggest lag on my system when I recieved it was from the poor seagate drive which was transfering data so slowly it was bogging down the system loading the turbo memory. I have since moved the seagate to an external usb enclosure where it performs worse then an old 3200rpm drive I have in a PATA version of the same enclosure.
