L520 or T520

I am about to order a L520 or T520 tomorrow. I am interested in general observations and recommendations you may have on my decision.

One specific question: The keyboard on my old Thinkpads, including the T42 I am currently typing on, was awesome! On the T61 that just bit the dust--the keyboard was not so great. And obviously durabliity wasn't so great on the T61 either.

But does anyone know if there is a way to order a keyboard that has the "feel" of the old IBM thinkpads? If so, I am going to be sure to get that upgrade!

well, the new keyboard on the T520 doesn't really have the feel of the old T4x keyboards, depending on which one you get, you may get something closer to the T61.

Also, does anyone know if the T61 power cords work with the L520 or T520?

yes it does, the plug is the same.

Hi Friends,

I got new Lenovo T520 - I5, 6GB Ram in July2011, I am unable to open any vedio's, but i did not installed any special softwares on it, i am getting this problem since i got this from first day.

I have reported the same to Customer support, they took my laptop to service centre but no use, they have diognized and return back to me, still my laptop running slow at all times.

please help me any one.
