LED Backlight Problems [ Edited ]

Hello. I have a WXGA LED screen on my t400. The backlight does not work properly. It does dimmer and brighter on different brightness settings but nothing is viewable even on the highest setting. Also some parts of the screen are darker than others. Here is a picture:

It can't be the inverter because there is none. I also tried reseating the LCD connector though I'm not sure of I did it properly.

Does anyone know what the problem may be and possible solution? Thanks.

that means couple of the LED modules is malfunctioning, you should call warranty support (provided you are under warranty).

Ahhh these are a pain.

Its either a faulty LED PANEL or SYSTEMBOARD, they both had issues in my experience.

I'm quite sure its faulty systemboard, thats what powers the LEDs. Its still and LCD panel just with LED backlight technology.

Send off to the warranty team to fix for you.
