Hey guys, firstly thanks for even looking at this
I purchased this laptop from ebay. its second hand but doesnt look like its abused not a scratch on it ![]()
Issue: my laptop goes to sleep on its own every few minutes
What I have done to resolve the issue:
-Firstly ive formated the system several times using retail windows 7 ultimate/pro/home/basic I tried all and it gave the same issue. installation goes fine laptop does not sleep during install. After installation when your in windows ie watching youtube or domething anything even moving the mouse it falls alseep on its own, I have tried windows default power management, and lenovo power management.
-I have even downgraded the bios and upgraded, funny (the laptop fell alseep while upgrading/ downgrading) did not brick my laptop but the firmware upgraded sucessfully.
-I am not sure at this point if this is a hardware / software issue (The laptop does how ever have intel AMT I removed the battery and changed the password) at first i thought perhaps its trying to connect to a server or something but i dont think so because i formated and changed the info and re loaded new bios.
-P.S. the system is not over heating i used cpuz application to see its temperature steady 38-40 celcius
ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRICIATED
My system is a Lenovo T400, normal intel 4500 gma, 3gb DDr3 320GB WDHD 9 cell batt 6474RU2

Is it actual sleep. and it wakes up correctly?
If you go to the advanced power menu and change what the keys/buttons do - for instance change the power button function from sleep to shut down - does it shut down instead of sleep?
I don't have a fix, but that might help narrow down where the problem is coming from.
