Lenovo T400 6473-RZ5 : why can not work with 3.5G module

Hi, I bought a 3.5G module from Prolink. and install it to my laptop. But it can not support third party module. Why????

I checked with Prolink. They said it is not their problem. My laptop BOIS blocked the third party module. How can I  open BOIS?

Why Lenovo block other module?

Many laptops from different manufacturers are like that, HP, Dell, etc.

Yah. Other brand can work with other party module. Only Lenovo block. Can any technical person from Lenovo can tell how to open BIOS for thirty party 3G module. I bought the module. But now it is useless

Not so, several manufactureres maintain whitelists for particular types of internal cards.
