hey guys, just got the following for my dad

We have  had this pc for a month or so but we just tried turning it on in all ways but we get this message, Any suggestions please guys?

Is this normal mode boot up?
Was it booting fine before this?

Can you boot into safe mode?

Disconnect anything from the computer that is plugged in! Any media in the DVD drive remove it.

Hi,

Yea this is a normal boot up. There is nothing in the cd tray or any of the usb hubs. How would you start up in safe mode?i had a friend who works in the pc industry to use the F11 function..is that the way to go? what does that do?

F8 repeatedly to get the menu upon startup right away.
You did not supply enough info nor if this is a new problem etc as I mentioned below.

well no new problem, just happens as soon as I power up the pc..thee first two posts are are a clip of what the lenovo has in it..is there something else i need to provide?the third post is what the screen displays..

I'd say you should call Tech support then have service fix it.

Yea good idea, i just got off the phone with them. we did some random boot managing tests with no results. it seems the boot manager is defective so i was told. they are mailing me a 3 part intallation cds to reformat and reboot the system as new again. its a good thing we didnt have a lot on the hard drive to start with

Good to here, many times on a new system that is you best course of action. Especially if you get someone who know what they're doing and not just a script reader.

I would run the diagnostics, especially the HD when your done and finished updating Windows Updates.

If the HD is failing you'd want to catch it earlier this time.
