Low-Halogen RAM?

[ Edited ]

I am thinking of upgrading my RAM.  What is the difference between these two products offered by Lenovo on their website?

1:  2GB PC3-8500 1066Mhz DDR3 SODIMM Memory

2:  2GB PC3-8500 DDR3-1066 Low-Halogen SODIMM Memory

I have been unsuccessful in learning what the "low-halogen" means.  Does it change anything about the RAM and how it performs?

Moderator edit: Added some detail to the subject.

Re: Low-Halogen RAM?

it is just a RoHS protocol....... no real difference... the manufacturers are trying to move away from environmentally hazardous materials. Lot of halogen chemicals are used as fire retardants in electronics....
