Lynksys routers and T400 compatibility

I replaced my Lynksys WRT 300 with a new Cisco E3000 and I cannot get the software installed on my two Lenovo T400 laptops. I get an error message that says the router requires that Windows manage the connection and that I must disable the Think Vantage Access Conection. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have a solution?
