Just got a new T500, just got all my apps installed and everything was working great. The last thing I did last night was run a "System Update". Now I have two problems:
1) When I log in I get a "Power Manager has stopped working" error.
2) Switchable graphics won't switch.
Anyone seen this, and any ideas how to resolve it?

FYI, I tried an uninstall of the Power Manager and Power Manager Driver that System Update had given me, and I then manually instaled the versions from the driver download site (Power Manager V2.42 from 2/12/09). I was surprised that this version was HIGHER than one that System Update gave me, which I am pretty sure was V2.38?).
Anyway, with V2.42 I no longer got the error on login, but I found that "Switchable Graphics" just would not switch! (no apps running, no external monitors connected etc.)
Luckily for me I had done a full system backup immediately before using System Update. I actually wound up restoring the entire system to get everything back the way it was in before I used System Update.
So I'm now back on Power Manager V2.35 which is what shipped on the system I received last week ( I wonder why they're shipping this old version???) and now everything seems to be working fine.
I have disabled System Update and don't intend to use it again!

My power manager was inop too (Power Manager has stopped working error on boot up), I just installed version 2.42 and all is well again, the previous version from an update on 10-Feb-2009 was 2.41a and was what caused the error for me.
