Hi all,
I recently got a T410 less than two month and now I'm fasing different prbolems with the keyboard. It seems that some letters prompt something else and mess up my work. for example, when I press letter 's' I get this "\;lkjfdsa" and " w" I get "poiurewq" along with other problems.
I tried to update the drivers and did tests on the device with no problems found.
does any one had the same problem? how can I fix it ?
p.my operating system is windows 7.

I have the same problems with my (brand new) T410. Try to press a litte (not much!!) at the point right above the fingerprint scanner and it will work again. I will give mine to service tomorrow, we will see what they say.

thanks for the response.
I don't have a finger scanner on my laptop. the problem seems to come and go. Can you update with what the service tell you.

Hi,
I got the same problem with my keyboard. I called the technical service, they told me they will send me a new keyboard that i have to install by myself! (Never done that before)!! Did someone got another solution (without going into hardware radical solution)??
Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum all of you!
Do you guys switch between different languages like French, German etc? if so, then does it happen no matter which language you're using or just your native language?
Make sure your numlock is off as sometimes it helps.
You can request a replacement keyboard from lenovo support and install it by watching the videos here:- http://www.lenovoservicetraining.com/ion/
Hope it helps.

Hi,
I have replaced my keyboard once already, and am still having this problem arise. Could it be that I have had two faulty keyboards?

Hi and welcome to the forum kchung!
Yep, the replacement keyboard could be bad, or it can be software issue, make sure your BIOS and drivers are current.

I had the same problem... pressing some of the keys used to generate random actions - like minimizing window on pressing 0, printing poiurewq on pressing p.
Called service center - they sent me just a keyboard without instructions!!
But replacing a keybaord doesnt take much time, especially when you have video instructions (http://www.lenovoservicetraining.com/ion/T410/inde
It works fine now!
