Regarding using wwan in T400 with Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

        Im interested to use of WWAN in my laptop, My is Thinkpad T400, having with Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN.

please guide me with process accesing the simcard slot in laptop.

Hi,

I believe the SIM card slot is in the battery bay.  Remove the battery to access.

That Intel 5100 is a wifi card, not a wwan card.  Do you also have a wwan card installed, or is that what you are asking about?

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T400 6475-EN7 model.

It has a SIM card slot in the battery bay.

I have inserted an active GSM SIM card in the SIM card slot.

But my Thinkpad does not show WWAN anywhere.

No undetected devices in Device Manager.

Fn+F5 shows only WiFi and Bluetooth.

My question is does my Thinkpad has a working WWAN card installed?
OR
Is the slot in the battery bay is just an empty slot for the purpose of installing a WWAN card ?

Unfortunately, I do not live in India so I would not know best. However, you can most likely purchase it directly from Lenovo.

You could also try eBay.
