I press the power button the laptop and have to wait about 3 ~ 6 min for the post bios appears. After waiting all this time. I use the laptop normally without apparent problems.

boot order is correct, being only DVD and HDD. Downgrade bios? You can you tell me a pretty hardware diagnostic app.

I think, you just had updated your BIOS.
Go into BIOS, keep the setting under "Config" - "SATA" in mind, press F9 - load defaults, F10 - yes and turn off computer.
Turn computer on, and re-set under Config - SATA the last setting.
If the POST still is too long, remove the BIOS battery for a few minutes (take care to know the BIOS passwords if there are set any).

Hello --
I have the same problem as well: it takes 10 min. 21 sec. after I push the startup button to ge to the POST screen, and then everything is fine.
Mornsgrans: how do I access the BIOS battery?
Thanks,
John Sabal
