T400 Motherboard

I have a T400 7417-RH4.

I installed a new hard drive and memory, had it working, now I keep getting a black screen on startup, after a minute or two it reboots itself, then after a minute or two I get a pop up saying windows did not load correctly.....

I'm wondering if it is turning out to be a motherboard issue after all. Is there someplace I can get refurbished MOBOs for my T400? I got one for my old T40, but that website doesn't carry them for this model.

Anybody know where I can pick one up??

Hey ervink,

I did a quick Google search and found pages of sites that have T400 motherboards for sale. I am not or able to suggest any site other then lenovo.com but would suggest you Google it and check out what comes up and if any would be price you would be ok with from a third party you trust.

Best Regards,

Hiro

Re: T400 Motherboard

I would try Safe Mode and/or a clean install before calling out that the MB is bad. Run some diagnostics on it. Even the old PC Doctor which had motherboard diagnostics under XP if you have the disks.
