I am having a problem with my T400 battery, it is not getting charged, even thought it is showing charging as the status, whereas when I checked the power manager it is showing the battery condition is good and it has also passed the test in the thinkvantage.
I have also tried removing and re-attached the battery, and I shut down the machine and tried charging but nothing is working out. Can anyone please let me know what could be the problem?
my machine is covered under the warranty.

Thanks for the quick response!
I am going to contact lenovo support team on monday......but do you think there will be a problem with battery? because it is passed in the hardware test. And, please let me know if I can do any simple troubleshooting.

Did it die all of a sudden? Did you see any signs before, like significantly shortened battery life?
I my case the battery was working well until the night it said " plugged in but not charging", so I think it might not be a battery problem. I shut off the laptop, took the battery out and wiped away some dust. Then it's charging again.
