T400 w/ATI & dock: dual display question

I have the T400 w/ATI discrete graphics and the advanced dock.  I have a monitor connected to the DVI on the dock.  I have the graphics forced to "Discrete" in the BIOS.

When docked, I prefer the monitor to be the "main" monitor, with the notebook display as a secondary monitor with the desktop extended onto it.  When undocked, the notebook is (obviously) the only display.

When I undock, everything works as expected - the display is moved / resized to fit on the notebook display.

When I re-dock, however, the video doesn't recover correctly.  Instead of having the display extended onto it, the display is duplicated on both monitors.  I have to go into the display settings every time to switch it back to the way I prefer.

How can I retain my preferred settings when I redock?

Re: T400 w/ATI & dock: dual display question

setup the display setting in your presentation director Fn +F7 and it would save your preferred setting, so next time it is just a job of pressing a few key to regain your preferred setting.

Re: T400 w/ATI & dock: dual display question

Gotcha.... I am running Windows 7 RTM which is apparently incompatible with Presentation Director.  Thanks for the advise, though.  I'll wait for a compatible version.
