T400 webcam problem

hi,

i have a problem with my T400 webcam. it doesnt work properly. i cannot get image from it, i cannot use it anymore. its led sometimes turn on and never turn off again even if i close the application using it. and its led sometimes turn on very short time and turn off again. it says your camera is used by another application....

i tried to uninstall and reinstall but it didnt work. i cannot use it now. how can i solve this problem?

hey wolverine42,

uninstall the current camera driver and any software that has access to the camera.

windows should now be installing its own generic camera driver. once done, there should be a camera icon in My Computer. Launch that and see if the camera works.

If it does, head over to >> http://support.lenovo.com , download and install the camera driver that is available here and try again.

hi,

firstly thanks for your reply.... my OS is windows 7, so there is no camera icon in computer like in windows 7. However i can test anyway by fn+f6 or other way. i will try your suggestion...
