T410 & T400s microphone mute after 300s i.e. 5min XP issue

Hello,

 

After a lot of testing, searching, now I realy need help for issue:

using OCS Communicator, Messenger and Skype there is a problem in voice and video call

it is established and fully functional,

but after exactly 5min. sound is not sent any more,

video remains transmitting and receiving on both sides

and if some other type of PC is at the other side, only issue is sound cannot be sent only from Lenovo.

 

For test is used clean XPpro installation with minimal set of drivers required for VoIP applications to use voice and video.

On another Lenovo were used also ThinkVantage utilities installed in tested image and afterwards on new instalation.

BIOS levels and drivers used are the latest and also older were tested.

For comparison Windows 7 Lenovo preload is tested and is working without any issues.

 

Please help with fresh ideas.

 

This tough struggle is lasting for days allready and I have lost horizon too.

Hello mate,

 

Have you got the latest drivers for the sound card ?

 

Also what is your ThinkPad number (looks like 2518-KLU) ?

Yes, the newest sound drivers, also three rev. older, but no change.

Found cause and workaround to this problem :manvery-happy:

 

After Lenovo service XP preload, described problem does not show,

except sound quality is degraded ...

 

So using the oldest available driver from Lenovo sound is not so great, but functionality is enabled.

 

Solution would be: new Lenovo or Connexant driver revision, also with this issue corrected.

 

Please if anybody could share opinion of:

Is there any remote chance for solution to happen?

 

If I am truly lucky maybe someone from Lenovo crew...
