Hi!
My T410 video display driver crashes on a weekly basis when watching video. The issue occurs when using windows media player or any online player like youtube. Before it crashes the video output becomes corrupted with green horizontal pixelated bars. The normal video content is totally replaced by this clutter.
Then the screen starts to flicker and an error pops up in my windows 7 taskbar "Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered". Then the screen goes black for 10-15 sec. and cycles between 5 sec. of normal windows display and the black screen. Every time this loops i get the "Display driver igfx..." error. In the system event viewer i get this info

As display driver crashes while watching video in ThinkPad T410. In order to recover please try to re-install the graphics driver and also update the Bios of your system from the below mentioned web link.
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.
Restart the system and check whether the issue is resolved.

Sameer

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Problem happens when using all kinds of applications, including Google Chrome.
My Thinkpad is a t410s (2924-am7), running Windows 7 SP1 x64. Driver is Intel version 8.15.10.2401. All patches from Microsoft and Lenovo installed.
Did you resolve the issue?

Stig

Hi Stig
No, the suggested solutions did unfortunately no solve the issue )-:
My PC still crashes once and a while when viewing video. Generally this occurs when I watch more than 15-20 min. of video in any application (chrome, windows movie player etc.).
I'm running a T410 2537WEV, Win 7 SP1 x32, Inter driver 8.15.10.2401. Also fully patched from MS and Lenovo.
Any help with this issue would be most appreciated.

Allan

Wow! I think I'm getting the same problem on my two-week old T530! I have the nvidia 5400M as well as the Intel HD 4000. I have seen it happen both on AC and on battery.
I posted a detailed thread about the crash here:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo-ibm/675603-
I also included pics of the crash.

It happens on both AC (presumably using the nvidia discrete card) and battery (presumably using the Intel HD 4000). That adds a serious level of complication.
Please take a look at the pics and let me know if you are seeing the same thing. I sounds like you are.
I also made a YouTube video of the crash, available here:

Eagerly looking forward to your thoughts (and pics, if you can catch it)

I don't think I have the same problem. I only see horizontal green pixelated bars across the video player window.

Is there any solution for this problem? I'm experiencing the same issue when playing flash vieos in any browser, and the screensaver is starting. When the problem occurs I can do nothing but a hard reset...
