Ok, so just bought the t410 and before doing any research i bought a VGA to HDMI cable to hook it up to my HDTV (you dont have to tell me im an idiot for doing it, i already know you cant do that). But anyway, i have been doing research on hooking it up via displayport but havent found the information i have been looking for. First, does this actually work, i have been reading some reviews that this may not work. Second, if i buy a displayport male to HDMI male cable will it be full 1080p resolution on my TV? Third, would be better/worse/equal if i were to buy the displayport male to hdmi female converter or is it better if they were both male.
Thank you in advance

If ur tv has hdmi slot, then all u need to do is to buy a dp-to-hdmi converter, i assume u already have a hdmi cable.

Will this broadcast in full 1080p or less?

if it works (which it should) then you can select the 1080p as the output resolution.

Not sure about male to male... but I just bought a DP port to HDMI port adapter on Ebay for around $10 dollars including shipping.
