Was looking for some time now, but didn't find much on it, is there a specificatoin sheet (or similar) for the built-in card reader (ExpressCard)?
In particular, I was wondering whether it has SDXC capability. I read in an article more than a year ago that Lenovo is planning to add SDXC to newer thinkpad models, but couldn't find any more details on that.

SDXC should also works as they are identical to SDHC, however larger then 32GB SDXC by default uses the Microsoft exFAT filesystem which may be incompatible with the operating system in use.

Thanks for your answer!
Are you sure about these being identical? http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/sdxc_capabilities/
exFAT shouldn't be a problem though, as I use Windows 7. And even if not, reformatting to something simpler like FAT32 shouldn't be an issue.
Edit: Just read the wikipedia part about SDHC and XC compatibility, pretty much says that it should be fine as long as the cards don't have SD 4.0 speeds.
Would still be interested hearing from anyone who can confirm that a current generation TP can read these cards.

Yep until 32Go they are the same. Bigger than 32Go they are not. I never tried a SDXC in my Thinkpad T510, I can't be really sure if it's working or not.
