T420: All my CPU(100%) is used by 2 Lenovo background programs, TPONSCR.exe and tpnumlkd.exe

Hi.

My Lenovo T420 is only a half year old and and worked fine until now.

Although I'm not running any programs on my command, all the CPU is used(100%) for the 2 programs TPONSCR.exe

and tpnumlkd.exe. They are named NumLock on screen display for ThinkPad and on screen display drawer! Each  one of them

uses about 45% of CPU approx. Can somebody tell me what these programs are good for and what I have to do now to

reduce the CPU amout they are using?

Thanks in advance.

What OS?

Those programs are components of hotkeys "on screen display" so download and install the latest version here:

They should be effectively zero CPU usage at all times.

Do try an uninstall and reinstall with the link posted above.
