Not really. It depends. It depends on how much memory you have in the machine. If you have more than 3GB of RAM then you might as well use the 64bit version.

I have 4 gb ram, 2.91 used. Becasue I use 32 bit I presume? Got your point,,,,,I then utilize the full power of 4 gb ram?

Correct. The 32bit OS will only address 3 minus some addresses for the shared memory and drivers. It's why you see the 2.91.
I have 8GB in my T410s. I have 6GB in the X301 I am typing this on. Both are using the 64bit version of Windows 7.
You really don't need to worry about it until you need more memory. Moving from 32bit to 64bit is a new install so it takes some work backing up your personal data, installing the new OS and drivers, then re-installing all the apps.
