T420s Bios update issues

Hi guys..

I have a Thinkpad T420s (4174 - EE2) . 

let me explain the story first.:-  My laptop is not getting ON. Then I unplugged one of the RAM (4gb + 4gb) its works fine. I tried this faulty (which is not working with my laptop) on another T410 laptop  then that one also working fine. I tested the two RAM with PC Doctor and all tests were passed.

Finally I tried to update the BIOS from bootable CD and Windows then it giving the meassage -

   "BIOS Directory was not found. The process did not complete"

I found some thread with the bios updating issue with some other models and people are suggesting to change the system board. Do I need to change the system board or is there any other solution for this?

Guys there is an update !!

I updated my BIOS to the latest version.

But still hte problem with RAM..

Help me please !!!!!!!!!

Is this a new SoDIMM you purchased to upgrade the RAM from 4 to 8?

Its not clear what he's done with the Ram. All Ram is not compatible so if you bought third part some will work (G.Skill) and others WILL NOT WORK.
