T430 W7 Pro mSATA Does Not Appear in Windows Explorer

Samsung 830 as boot drive in T430. Everything worked fine. Installed Crucial mSATA drive. The mSATA drive shows up in the Device Manager. It does not appear in Windows Explorer. This may not be a Lenovo question, but a Windows question, but why  not?  What am I missing? Thanks.

have you created a partition on the mSATA drive and formatted it?

No, I did not format the mSATA or create a partition. I will do that now. Thanks.
