as far as i know, you can not dedicate any more ram to video than the default on these sytems, be it on vista or windows 7. It is stuck on full DMVT (Controlled by intel drivers)

Seems like most people have the driver memory footprint allocation attribute all wrong. Or more specifically, for whatever reason, Intel thinks low means high. More on how to change 4500mhd memory here.
