T510 New System Board

I replaced the system board in this T510 but I cannot update the machine type. The cursor starts to the right of the hyphen and will not move to the left, just allows me to enter 3 characters. How do I get around this? I have tried 2 different BIOS disks, the first of which is the latest dated 21 Dec 2011.

Hi jim_hohl,

The machine type is only 3 characters. 2672-KHU: 2672 would be the model. KHU would be the type.

A Lenovo dealer would have the tools to change the model
