T520 Random Restart

Hello all,

The problem I'm having is that occasionally (and without warning) my T520 will fully power off and restart. No bluescreen, no error, nothing in the event log.

I'm really at a loss as to what is going on on here

I would suggest you to please uncheck the automatic restart, and then update the Bios of your notebook from the below mentioned web link.

After this, please restart the notebook and check if the issue resolved.

START- Right click on COMPUTER- PROPERTIES - ADVANCED SYSTEMS SETTING.

Uncheck Automatic Restart under system failure.

Turning that off allows you to dig for the cause as long as it still running. This is not a fix for the underlying cause you should be aware. Once the BIOS is updated (assuming its not) you may have to look at the critical events in the event view log.
