Knowing exactly which message you are seeing would help to help you. Is it maybe asking for the supplemental disc? If it is click on "no" and it will then ask for disc 1. Then you're rolling 
Yes, this is exactly the msg I get. And I tried both versions answering YES and NO ... but every CD I insert it says "wrong one ...."
And you are selecting to restore your system and then selecting restore to factory?
Sorry, just noticed you also tried installing an original XP, have you switched the SATA from AHCI to Compatabilty Mode in BIOS? Can be found in the Config > SATA menu.
