Hi, I've been posting several times a week for a while now. I ordered a 430s on the 19th of august and ran into the delays described in the past couple of days. Good news finally though
, the computer left Shangai today and should be here friday. So, in the future, if you buy a customized lenovo, just expect about a 30day turnaround time. They might LIE or be horribly dishonest about ship dates and all that.... but at the end of the day this computer should be worth it.
And for the record.... shame on Lenovo for having such a *(#$ed up inventory management system. Either they knew it would be delayed 2.5 weeks, or they're just not organized properly. I'd appreciate some up-front honesty if a part needs to be re-engineered and sent back to the production line...

Just want to rant a little about lenovo's awful service and their handling of the BSOD issue. First, lenovo's customer service is abysmal and being forthright is non-existent, which makes me question Lenovo's business practice all together. Second, shipping a product a month after ordering without reason is unacceptable. Third, Lenovo's not providing a notice that problem has been resolved, while continuting to ship makes me wonder whether the new configuration will have other problems, which make me very uncomfortable. Has the changes made to the t430s been tested long enough to detect any additional problems or is this another bandaid with future problesm that may occure because of the lack of quality control? If a problem is not detected before 21 days from the invoice date (not the day the product is received, which is another moronic policy), then you will have to deal with the warranty department rather than being able to return the laptop. So by the time the product is shipped from China, you actually have 14 days to test Lenovo products for problems. What a terrible policy.
To Lenovo, as much as you charge for your laptop's I would think your customer support would be top of the line, or at least at the top of latter compared to your competitors, but it's actually one of the worse I've experienced. Good luck down the line.

Any t430s with discrete graphics order updates? Mine was ordered August 6th and STILL in production ... if you make a new t430s online now and choose discrete graphics, it says it will ship October 11 so I'm assuming there actually is a graphics card shortage ... really want that laptop though

I couldn't agree with you more. My T430s has at least 1 BSOD a day, and sometimes several. It is unusable. Any suggestions on a better machine? Maybe Samsung?

Just checked again with CSR they say all orders with discrete graphics card are efffected and the current shiping date would be mid or end of october..... Bravooooooooo and hats off to the Lousy Lenovo manufacturing team....
I am suprised how the other member with discrete graphics got his laptop shipped. may its shortage and fullfilling them slowly without being honest...
and i am also suprised that they are not shipping the orders in the order they were placed.
