well I think as the IT manger here I am through with Lenovo.
Every single order is delayed, every single of my last 5 orders have been at least 2 weeks delayed. No business should be this bad. (previous order an X1, before that 2 X220's). Yes we aren't a huge company, but we've placed 10+ orders over the last 2 years, counting new orders. That doesn't count from the outlet.
Our most recent order.
Ordered T420 on 4/10, estimated ship date 4/19.
Check order status next day, estimated ship date still 4/19
Check order status on 4/16, estimated ship date changed to 4/22
Check order status on 4/24, estimated ship date changed to 5/3 - NO notifications on delay
Online chat - told order will ship without fail on 5/4 and will be sent overnight
5/7 - still no order, no ship information, order status still says ship date of 5/3
This is a recurring issue with Lenovo. I'm sick of the lies coupled on lies.
My new plan is to place multiple orders every week then cancel 2 weeks later. At least I can keep the outlet stocked with new items that actually ship on time.
My long term is to move the company off of Lenovo. I've already stopped reccomending them to people. The customer support which gives no actual support (it takes 2 days just to get an update on my order, really? 2 days???) isn't worth the head ache it causes when executives are waiting on their computer for weeks.

Hi, my friend in USA have ordered a refurbished laptop for me.
the order was placed April 23 and the est. ship date has been postponed 4 times!!!!
Every time when it was est ship date, the system will delay it 2 or 3 days.
April 23: Est ship on Apr 30
Apr 30: Est ship on May 3
May 3: Est ship on May 8
May 8: Est ship on Ma 10
What is going on???? Can anyone check the actual status for me?
If there is a credit hold issue, please just cancel the order. If the credit is good, why there is delay and delay? It is a refurbished so I assume the specific machine should be right there!!!

Ordered a T420s April 19th, expected shipping date was May 1st, but it did not change for a week after May 1st. Then I called in, I was told May 13th is the beginning of the expected shipping week! miraculously, the website updated right after I called. Maybe they forgot about me Today is May 14th, nothing yet. With the most optimistic estimate I will receive my laptop, more than a month after I ordered it. Impressive!! I remember my T60 arrived in two weeks when I ordered it 5 years ago.

Just got off the phone with the support. Now they are saying "any time next week", just like last week, or the one before. So it seems like there is a chance I won't be able to get this thing before May ends. A month and a half after ordering!!!! They should let us know whatever part they are missing, I don't mind making little changes in my order if it means I will get it 3 weeks earlier. One might say allowing ex post changes in orders might create logistic nightmares, but things are not really working great now, are they?
I guess, I can't really recommend anyone buying thinkpads over the website anymore. "just go get a mac or something" I will say from now on
I am not a big hurry but still it'd be nice to get my hands on my new computer as soon as possible. I am eagerly awaiting for my T420s so I can start worry about its fan noise or the white spots on its screen.
(And I am pretty sure I am being pushed back in line of priority for parts because this is a personal order of a mere 700 dollars.)

Very fast service from UPS! Took a bit long in the manufacturering but definitely worth the waiting!

So, I placed another order to replace my failed order and this time it went through. My order was shipped on May 10th.
However, my UPS tracking status has not been updated since May 12th and no one (UPS and Lenovo) can tell me why. I've been phoning both companies, trying to find out why my package is not being moved at all. How come no one can tell me where my machine is located?

I have also had problem. I ordered on 4/8...original estimated ship date was 10 days however when went to site to check on status ... could not find the order, in fact the confirmation number was more digits than the web site allowed. Called customer service and they said they would get back to me in two days, could not look up status or give me any useful information. When they called two days later they said their was a problem with the order and we had to reorder ... this was now 4/25. They said they would expidite the order. Now had a valid order number to check the web site. Website ship date then 5/1 ... since then everytime the date comes the ship date is updated with no explanation. I have now had ship dates of:
