ThinkPad T series shipping thread - 2012 edition

Reading these posts, I see no pattern in Lenovo's inconsistency.  I ordered a T520 4239-CTO on May 13.  Estimated ship date was May 22.  Actual ship date was May 17.  It landed in Louisville, KY on Friday May 18 (Remember there is an extra day in there because of the international date line).  It is Sunday evening and it hasn't moved since then.  Assuming it gets through customs tomorrow, it should get to me in Cashiers, NC on its predicted delivery date of Tuesday, May 22.  So far, I am very pleased with the speed of the manufacture and shipping.

Why is it the shipping thread still floats around in the body of the forum with the rest of the threads?  If it's sticky, it should remain stuck at the top and not have a duplicate entry.

Thanks, I got the i3-2350+bluetooth, the rest is the same. 

Good news for me! It is shipped today! It seems like I might be able to get it before June...

@elalemever: Nice to hear about that. You'll see it worth the waiting! Mine took 3 days to arrive from the shipping date, I live downtown Montreal.

Got it today. No fan noise or white bubbles on the screen so far The only thing is it says t420si, instead of T420s on it.

Hi all,

My new T420s just arrived this morning!

I thought I'd share my order progress with you all:

5/13/2012 Order placed for T420s 4170CTO.

5/17 Order Status changed to Manufacturing.

5/21 Order Status changed to In production, with expected delivery date of 6/3/12.

5/22 Shipped.

5/29 Delivered.

My first day experience's been very good. T420s' keyboard feels much better than that of my old T61, which

is being replaced! Also much faster, equipped with Intel SSD.

Very much looking forward to using this machine in many years to come!
