Soduku, your specs look prettty similar to mine. Should be snappy - I'm still on a Toshiba Core 2 Duo at the moment with a terrible battery life

I think the T430s was more expensive if I remember rightly?

Hey Mark from Lenovo,
I would like to share with you my very frustrating experience with the shipping of my new T430 and I do need your help with that. I have ordered the machine at 5:00 am on the day of tha launch 6/5 and since that time, my estimated ship date was 6/11 and my status stayed as "Order Received" the whole duration of time till the 11th came and nothing shipped then something weird happened, my order date changed to 6/6 and the estimated ship date to 6/12 and the status is still "Order Receieved" though everyone in different forums say their orders have to change to "Released to Manufacturing". I annoyed enough agents over the chat to make sure nothing is wrong with the order status and they said it is fine and just wait and here we go the 12th has passed and the status did not change and I have not received shipping notification and I am living in the unknown and no one is willing to help. I swear I am out of a machine and thanks to Lenovo, they no longer even offer the expedited paid-for shipping and the agents were not able to do that for me due to inconvenience. Now, what, should I just wait and wait everyday praying that it will ship some day and listening to every agent telling me thye do not know what is going on in the warehouse. By the way, I talked to a couple of supervisors and they told me the same. I can also see that people who ordered same machine same or next day I ordered have their machines shipped. Please, help as you cannot imagine how frustrated and dissatisfied I am. If you need order number, please let me know and tell me how to send it to you.

Just ordered on the evening of June 12th, they haven't given me a ship date though. Hopefully, I'll get it before the end of the month So excited, this will be my 4th thinkpad, R31, T61p, X61 now T430s. Hopefully, the keyboard will be as awesome as the old one. Oh and I was wondering http://www.techrepublic.ch/lenovo/Lenovo_T430s_EN_ in this brochure, it lists the 9 cell slice as an accessory. It's incorrect, right? It only works on the t430? |

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service from Lenovo. Worst I have ever dealt with from a corporation.
Ordered laptop 6/1 with a 6/7 estimated shipment. 6/9 email says it is delayed. Multiple phone calls 3 days in a row to customer support, ALL saying it will ship that day or the next (though the web says 6/24) . Finally get someone today who says it is now 6/25 (still 6/24 on web) and get a manager who will "call me back today" with official status if I can get the product before I leave the country for work (laptop is for my job). Still no call at 5pm...
HORRIBLE experience. Lies up and down, constant runaround, just saying what they think I want to hear. ZERO respect for this organization's customer service. On the verge of cancelling the order because a 1 month wait for a product I could have off of newegg.com in 3 days doesn't seem worth it.
