It uses the same 5-button clickpad as the ThinkPad Helix. The Trackpoint buttons are in the Touchpad, which is clickable at bottom (the 2 normal TouchPad buttons) and at top (the three Trackpoint buttons).

There is a mistake in the user guide, the correct name is ThinkPad Edge T431s ![]()

Well, the name seems to be correct ![]()
It also lacks the silver trim of the Edge series, and it comes with a dock port, which is not found in the Edge serie. So I doubt that it is an Edge. ![]()

Dear Lenovo staff,
if the features on this abomination make it into the main Thinkpad T/X/W series lines, I will be among the first of the many many many people to jump ship... you're making even Apple look good here.
And here I was hoping we'd see a return to proper keyboard layouts, better cooling systems, longer battery life and a few display upgrades...

If there's anything I can confirm, it's the fact that T431s really belongs to the ThinkPad Classic family and not the Edge one.
Cheers. ![]()

Does anyone know when this computer is due to be released? Will it be soon or not until Intel Haswell ships (rumoured to be June 2013)?
I make extensive use of docks in our company and I am really interested in this computer to get users into Ultrabook-ish dimensions while maintaining "classic" dock compatabiltiy and a physical Ethernet port.

It will be announced in March, and released in April.
No, it won´t feature Haswell, since Haswell won´t arrive before the 2. half of the year, but there will be an T440s with Haswell later in the year.
