Thinkpad Edge E420s start up button issue

I never had a Lenovo before, so I don't know if this is normal funtionality or not. When I press on the power button i had to press twice to respond every single time. Does anybody has the same issue? Is this a normal thing in Lenovo Thinkpad laptops?
