Thinkpad T410 Wireless Card not Detected

Hello Guys,

The Wireless network card from my Thinkpad T410 is not being detected anymore. Right now I m using Ubuntu 11.10, but the same problem occurs in ArchLinux or Windows 7.

Sometimes the wireless card is being detected if the laptop has been powered off for a couple of hours, but this is not a rule.

I searched around and couldn't find a solution.

The button that turns the wireless on/off is set to on and the bluetooth works just fine.

Any help is highly appreciated.

hey slither,

kindly reinstall the original OS that came with your unit. have it on mono-boot, no linux OS installed.

test the wireless card again and get back to us. i suspect that the linux you have installed might have caused the issue.

Hello,

I never used dual boot.

I reinstalled windows 7 64 bit though. The problem continues.

Call the Lenovo Service. In my opinion it is a hardware problem - either the wireless card or the system board.
