Thinkpad T420 SLOW SLOW

I am unsatisfied because of my choose thinkpad t420 !!!!!!!

I have the same configuration as you.  Mine is lightening fast.  It was certainly much slower using a HDD (I am using SSD now) but perfectly normal.

Recommendation: Reinstall the OS using the factory recovery disk set.  If it is still slow, create a support request if you are outside the return period.

If you have any highlighted entries on this page, you have a failing hard drive that must be replaced.

Have you determined why the CPU-Z image you loaded is showing your CPU clock speed at ~800 MHz?

No i don't think about 800 mhz clock is that a problem ?

Went back and I noticed I missed how you said the health tab is blank. This should not be the case.

Are you running in IDE or SATA mode?

A CPU that is stuck on 800MHz can be a problem, but it shouldn't be this severe.

I am running in IDE mode because i installed xp and seven.

Okay... Install the Rapid Storage driver for both OSes, then switch to SATA. Check the Health tab in HD Tune again.
