Unable to install UltraNav Driver for Windows 7 64bit

Laptop: Lenovo T400 Type 2768-P1Q

OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit (x64)

I downloaded the Synaptics UltraNav Driver from here. After running the exe, it extracted the setup to C:\SWTOOLS\UNAV\6HGX53WW and tries to install and I get the following error:

"Driver Package Installer has stopped working"

Check online for a solution does not help. I am unable to install the driver. I rely heavily on the touchpad to scroll up and down. My touchpad does not scroll without the driver. Can someone help me get through this?

Try redownloading the installer and choosing a different extract path.

No, it did not help. I get the same error.

Is it something to do with the fact that mine is a 64-bit OS? I did download drivers for a 64-bit OS. Moreover, Lenovo Support has the same setup for both 32-bit and 64-bit, but the extracted folder has different subfolders for each.

Is there a known issue with installing this driver on a 64-bit machine?

Has anyone had a successful install?
