Want annoying Pop-Up for sound removed

I cannot figure out how to remove the pop-up that displays the volume everytime a sound comes from the PC

Hi,

Do you mean the On Screen Display? if so, then right click on your desktop -> choose Screen resolution -> Advanced Settings -> On Screen Display -> Uncheck the checkbox.

Oh yeah... It looks like a glitch where the Volume Bar shows up every time a sound is played out of certain programs (API related?). For example, if you have a blank textbox and hit backspace while focused, the associated sound plays, and the volume bar appears for a second. This goes away if you turn off Windows sounds under Personalization.

I can reproduce this sporadically.
