Why no Windows 7 Ultimate as OS option with T420 and T520 ?

Why no Windows 7 Ultimate as OS option with T420 and T520 ?

I am currently considering a T420 or T520 for my daughter, who is heading off to college in June.

Her major is international language studies, and this will require the additional language packs.

Officially, these are only supported in Win 7 Ultimate.

I know that there are ways to get the language packs to work in Win 7 Pro,

but it would be nice to have it ready to go straight from the factory.

Thanks

Just order it over the phone- I think Sales would probably be happy to do so.
Otherwise I'd just use the Windows Anytime Upgrade.

You can upgrade the OS to ultimate within the windows 7 professional, by using a Windows Anytime Upgrade key.

IIRC, language packs do indeed work in Windows 7 Pro.
