ram upgrade for T430s

I would like to upgrade my T430s with Samsung 1.35v (Samsung MV-3T4G3D/US, kit - 2x4GB) ram

Can anyone confirm that this ram is compatible with the Lenovo Thinkpad T430s. Is the "smaller size" of the sticks an issue?

i believe that kit should work (204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)), but i'm unclear about your meaning of "smaller size". please help me understand and we can go from there.

I'm also unclear.  Amazon has the following as part of the description on its website (quoting Samsung):

The product features a very low profile design and is only two-thirds as wide as conventional memory modules.

This module measures 1 by 2.67 by 1.6 inches (H x W x D). SODIMM memory modules are optimal for laptops

Since it fits in the standard DDR3 1600 slot, I assume it is the depth (1.6) which is smaller than standard.

you should be fine with this kit.

not sure where amazon gets a 1.6" depth dimension, though. i've got one in front of me an it's about 1" W by 2.5" L, with maybe 2mm thickness, by eyeball measurement.
