t420s - swapping to extended monitor doesnt work [ Edited ]

connecting my laptop to a tv or any other external monitor does work but when i try to swap to extended monitor or any other setting my pc shuts down and reboots.

any ideas ??

Hi

For resolving the mentioned issue , Please try the following

1.  Update the Bios to latest version

2. Update the Display Video drivers

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&DocID=HT063249

After updating drivers press Fn + F7 to toggle from internal to External Monitor
