t500 2081CTO and new wireless card [ Edited ]

Hello.

First of all clarify that my English is very poo.

Some weeks ago, I recive my first thinpad (T500 - 2081CTO).

Everything works fine (under GNU/Linux) except the wireless card: ThinkPad 11b/g/n Wireless Lan Mini-PCI Express Adapter II.

My question is: My model (2081CTO) support the Intel wifi link 5300?

Has three antennas? or only two (In this case, i need the intel wifi link 5100?)

It is difficult to change the wireless card? I neves open a thinkpad, but looks simple acording the hardware maintenance manual.

I'm not a linux user but I would check your invoice or your order to see what wireless card you have.

install the correct driver

you may also want to check in the BIOS, I believe there is an option to enable/disable the card but I'm not sure and I'm not in a position to reboot my machine now.

Under windows vista it work perfect, but not under GNU/Linux, and I work in linux every day and every time. For this reason I need a wireless card that work under linux.

Acording the system info under windows vista, the driver is rtl8192se and the chipset is realtek.

Maybe in some time, kernel hackers, build a driver for linux, but I don't spend time for it.

I need to know if my thinkpad have 3 antennas to connetc the intel wifi 5300, or only 2?

In the case that have only 2 antennas, is the intel wifi 5100 that I need?

last week opened my laptop and definitely has 3 antennas, now I need some information to buy a intel wifi link 5300.

I'm from Argentina, and here it's imposible to found this card.

I look into ebay, but most of the 5300 say: Not for IBM thinkpad and HP.

anyone know where I can purchase?

It's horrible my thinkpad with a usb wifi dongle
