Adding a Finger Print Reader to T61p

Hi all,

I originally ordered my T61p (6459-CTO) without a finger print reader but have since decided I need one for use in crowded public places so I can avoid having to type in my system password where people could see. I ordered part #42W3822 which is the palm rest with finger print reader but I need to know if there is anything else I will need. Does anyone know if I need any other parts in order to add a finger print reader to my system? If so please list the FRU number and description of the parts). That would be most appreciated.

Hello,

One you have installed the new palm rest, you should be able to install the fingerprint scanner software by running the ThinkVantage System Update application.
