I solved this problem a couple years ago when I first installed windows 7, but I can't recall what device/s this is to install the correct drivers. Also, I have installed and run Lenovo System Update and it hasn't found them after installing every critical and optional update offered.

Hi TuuS,
That's the card reader. Vista's driver should work:- http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.p
Hope this helps.

Ok, thank you very much, and I'll link all my images from now on.

I finally got around to installing this driver and got three error messages about being unsigned drivers. Do you know if there is a signed driver for this card reader for windows seven x64?

Try this one:- http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mob
Once the setup extracts itself, you'd need to go to C:\Drivers\....to install the driver.

I installed it and got this error.

When I rebooted, devide manager recognised the devices, but rejects the drivers.

Last time I let it install using compatibility settings, which it then gave the errors about unsigned drivers. I'm using windows Seven x64 enterprise edition. sp1

Hey TuuS,
Is this on a T61? That reminded me that I'd never checked Dev Manager in my Win 7 Pro 64 test install on my T61. Same "base devices" showing. So I just now gave it a try.
This seemed to work for me:
Used Maliha's driver but downloaded from the T61 matrix. Executed it to extract files. Went to device manager, right clicked on each device, selected update driver software, browse to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\4IN1\MSx64 for the memory stick, and ...\SDMMCx64 for the SD card.
Install was OK, and drivers look OK after reboot. Maybe the manual "browse" rather than executing setup in the extracted driver files was the trick.
I realize I've spelled this out in more detail than you needed, but someone else might happen along...

Yes, it's on a T61. Windows keep insisting the drivers are unsigned and is refusing to enable them.
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
I tried to update them as you described, but it tells me windows has determined my drivers are already up to date, and it won't let me replace them. I tried uninstalling, but as soon as I refresh device manager, they return.
I have another t62 running win7 enterprise x64 in my office. It's an Intel board (gpu) but I'll try installing on it tomorrow and see if it works. I also have another nvidia model here but it doesn't have win7 on it. I'll install win7 tomorrow if I have time and see if it works.

It seems, that you have a double installation:
Unknown Devices shows the three base system device and below you'll find the entry "SD-Adapter" in the device manager (seems to be the SD-card reader installed with windows drivers).
Delete them all and let the computer recognize the hardware again.

I just tried that. If I delete the...
SD host adapters> SDA standard compliant SD Host Controller
It only comes back as soon as I open device manager aqgain. If I delete the three Richo devices and check the "delete driver" box, the items revert back to "base system device", but every way I've tried to install it, either by using the "update driver" and browsing to the folder, or by running the setup, in regular or compatibility mode, it still tells me the drivers are not digitally signed.
I went to Ricoh's website to see if they had windows Seven drivers for this device, but they don't have any drivers for it at all, and don't even list it as a product.
I also just installed these same drivers on a different T61 with the same windows version and they worked fine, so this is really strange.
*the other t61 also had the SC host adapter, so that would appear to not be the problem.
The only thing I can think of is my system clock was set incorrectly after doing some repairs. It caused my windows activation to fail, but I fixed that a few days ago. I only mention it because the remote possibility that it caused dates in the registry or something to get corrupted? Actually, if that's even possible, then windows has a serious bug, it's bad enough that something like a bad cmos battery could break your windows activation.
