Hi all, I bought a new T61 laptop last March from Lenovo Canada. I have Vista Basic. Vista is hanging on my laptop. The laptop freezes! I tried to do a full HDD check ... CHKDSK stops/hangs/HDD idle at stage 5 at 81%! It was working on AHCI mode. I changed the mode to regular mode CHKDSK stops at it is stopped at stage 4, 16%. I tried to check the HDD from the BIOS, it passes 100%
I want to ask: -Is there a way to solve this problem? -I am in 1 year basic warranty, will Lenovo replace the HDD if I contacted them? and what is the process? -I am not happy of the laptop, LCD sucks, the keyboard buttons drop, then the HDD, Are these laptops have a poor quality? Just sell it?
